1. Preamble

The present Terms of Use govern access, navigation and use of all platforms, services, content, tools and programs operated by Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc., a company legally incorporated in Quebec (Canada).

They constitute the general framework of use applicable to any person who consults, uses or interacts with the digital ecosystem operated by Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc., including its divisions, digital showcases, services and programs.

Using any platform or service within the ecosystem implies full, complete and unconditional acceptance of the present Terms of Use.

3. Scope of the terms of use

These Terms and Conditions apply in particular to:

• Consulting websites
• The use of digital platforms
• Creating and using user accounts
• Navigating public or private storefronts
• Access to free or paid content
• The use of forms, tools and services
• Any direct or indirect interaction with the ecosystem

They apply regardless of place of residence of the user, subject to applicable local laws.

4. Ecosystem, divisions and services concerned

The present Terms of Use include, but are not limited to:

• Magazine Hip-Hop (editorial division)
• Réseau Underground (central digital platform) and its services: Careers, Atlas 3D, Industry Directory, Contests, The Portal, Patreon RU, Player One, I.P.P. Program, PR Radio World, Social Network and community, RU Link, RU Sign, Stories, RU Tournaments
• VERITAS (identity verification framework) and its services: Cypher (facial recognition) and Optimus (identity document submission)
• Institute of Hip-Hop (educational platform)
• Mag HH Shop (services, products and documents) and Affiliate Program
• IMC, Intervention Management Center

Any other current or future division, program, or service operated by Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc.. None of these divisions has a separate legal personality.

5. Nature of the platforms and absence of warranty

The platforms and services are provided for informational, cultural, educational, or community purposes, without any obligation to achieve a specific result and without any guarantee of continuity, availability, or performance.

Access to or use of a platform does not create any partnership, mandate, employment relationship, or automatic contractual obligation.

6. User accounts and responsibility

When an account is required, the user is responsible for the information provided, must keep such information accurate and up to date, is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, and is accountable for any activity carried out through their account.

Account sharing, identity theft, or unauthorized access are strictly prohibited.

7. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

The user agrees to use the platforms in a lawful and respectful manner and in compliance with the policies in force.

It is prohibited, in particular, to publish illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content, infringe copyright or image rights, harass, threaten, or intimidate others, circumvent technical or security systems, interfere with the operation or integrity of the platforms, or present oneself as an official representative without authorization.

8. Contenus et propriété intellectuelle

Unless otherwise indicated, all institutional content is the property of Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc.. Content submitted by users remains their responsibility.

Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or exploitation is prohibited. The user warrants that they hold the necessary rights to the content they submit.

9. Identity verification (VERITAS: Cypher and Optimus)

Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. offers optional identity verification services under the VERITAS framework: facial recognition (Cypher) and identity document submission (Optimus).

These services are reserved for individuals aged 18 and over. Their use requires express, free, informed, and separate consent specific to each purpose. In ordinary use, they are optional, and a non-biometric alternative remains available without penalty for anyone who declines. Identity verification becomes a condition of access only for a limited number of high-security access levels (Level 1: backstage areas, private award ceremonies, private venues or professional invitation-only events, access to sensitive information) in order to prevent fraud; these accreditation levels are described in the VERITAS Biometric and Identity Verification Charter, and the required level is indicated at the time of access. Facial recognition is never used as a means of payment and is never used for surveillance.

The processing of this data is governed by the VERITAS Biometric and Identity Verification Charter and the Privacy Policy, which prevail over these Terms with respect to all matters relating to biometrics and identity verification.

10. Moderation, suspension and termination

Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, remove, or restrict content, suspend or terminate an account, restrict access to all or part of a service, or discontinue a program or feature.

No detailed justification is required, except where legally obligated.

11. Hierarchy of legal documents

In case of conflict or differing interpretations, the order of priority is as follows:

1. Terms of Use, Magazine Hip-Hop Ecosystem (this document)

2. VERITAS Biometric and Identity Verification Charter (for matters relating to biometrics and identity verification)

3. Privacy Policy

4. Cookie Policy

5. Policies specific to divisions and services

6. Operating guides and explanatory summaries

The higher-level document shall prevail at all times, provided that the VERITAS Charter takes precedence over general documents solely with respect to biometric and identity verification matters.

12. Personal data and technologies

Personal information is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, the VERITAS Biometric and Identity Verification Charter, the Cookie Policy, and applicable laws, including, in particular, Law 25 (Quebec), the Act to establish a legal framework for information technology (Quebec), PIPEDA (Canada), and the GDPR (European Union), where applicable.

13. Usage measurement, statistics and data commercialization

Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. measures the use of its platforms (visit duration, peak traffic hours, sections viewed, popularity by category, approximate geographic distribution by region) in order to improve its services and produce statistics.

Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. may commercialize aggregated and anonymized statistics that do not identify any individual. No information that identifies a person is sold or disclosed to a third party for commercial purposes without that person’s express and separate consent. Professionals listed in the Directory may voluntarily and revocably enable increased visibility. Full details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Identity verification data (VERITAS: Cypher and Optimus) is segregated and is never used for measurement, profiling, advertising, or commercialization purposes.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. cannot be held liable for the use or interpretation of content, decisions made by users, financial, professional, or artistic losses, interruptions, malfunctions, or unavailability, nor for content published by users or third parties. The platforms are provided as is.

15. Modification of the Terms

Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. The version published on the official platforms constitutes the only version in effect. Continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec (Canada) and, where required, by applicable European standards. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
